Rocker / Cam Cover – Ford 1.0 EcoBoost 3-Cylinder OEM Replacement

A cracked or warped rocker cover on the 1.0 EcoBoost causes oil leaks onto the exhaust manifold and turbocharger, creating smoke, burning smells, and a serious fire risk given the proximity of the turbo. It also disrupts the crankcase ventilation system, leading to oil consumption, a fouled intake, and potential turbo oil starvation. If you notice an oil leak from the top of the engine, a burning smell, or oil residue around the cam cover area, replace this cover immediately.

The 1.0 EcoBoost cam cover is a highly distinctive part — featuring an asymmetric L-shaped profile unique to the 3-cylinder engine layout, 3 coil pack apertures, an integrated oil filler cap housing, a tall PCV oil separator tower for the crankcase ventilation system, and a complex multi-bracket mounting structure. The underside reveals copper-coloured cam bearing inserts and a detailed baffle system. Do not confuse with the 4-cylinder Duratec covers which have a completely different profile.
