A faulty throttle body on the 1.0 EcoBoost is a common cause of rough idle, hesitation, poor throttle response, uncontrolled revving, and engine warning lights. The electronic throttle body controls the amount of air entering the engine in response to accelerator pedal input — when the throttle plate sticks, the TPS sensor fails, or the motor burns out, the engine management system loses control of fuelling and performance.
This direct-fit replacement features the precision-machined aluminium throttle bore with butterfly valve plate, integrated TPS motor and position sensor, and the distinctive black multi-pin connector housing specific to the 1.0 EcoBoost.
